TweetToTrade ("we," "our," "us," or "the Extension") is a browser extension for Google Chrome and compatible browsers. This Privacy Policy explains our data handling practices and is designed to comply with Chrome Web Store policies, Google's Limited Use requirements, and applicable privacy laws including GDPR and CCPA.

TweetToTrade is a privacy-first extension that does NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information.

TweetToTrade helps users identify Solana blockchain contract addresses (mint addresses) in tweets on X (formerly Twitter) and provides convenient action buttons to copy addresses or view them on external platforms.

By installing and using TweetToTrade, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

Since TweetToTrade does not collect personal data, there is no personal information to use, share, sell, or process.

No Data Transmission to TweetToTrade

Chrome Extension Permissions (Manifest V3)

TweetToTrade requests the following permissions in accordance with Chrome Web Store policies. Each permission is necessary for core functionality and used only for its stated purpose.

1. storage

Purpose: Store user preferences locally

Uses chrome.storage.sync API to save extension enabled/disabled state and RPC validation preferences. Data never transmitted to TweetToTrade servers.

2. activeTab

Purpose: Read content of the active tab when user interacts with the extension

Detects Solana contract addresses in visible tweet text. Processing happens in browser memory and is discarded immediately.

3. scripting

Purpose: Inject UI elements (action buttons) into web pages

Dynamically inserts COPY, INSPECT, and BUY buttons near detected contract addresses. Only adds visual elements; no data collection.

4. clipboardWrite

Purpose: Copy contract addresses to clipboard

Write-only operation - extension does NOT read your clipboard. Only activated when you explicitly click COPY.

5. host_permissions for x.com and twitter.com

Purpose: Operate on X (Twitter) pages to detect addresses and insert buttons

Reads publicly visible tweet text. Does NOT access login credentials, private messages, or auth tokens.

6. host_permissions for dexscreener.com and pump.fun

Purpose: Open external token research and trading platforms

Permission is for URL navigation only (opening links). Extension does NOT read or access data from these platforms.

Third-Party Services and Integrations

TweetToTrade provides convenient links to external cryptocurrency platforms:

Local-Only Processing

All contract address detection and processing happens entirely within your browser using client-side JavaScript. No data is sent to external servers controlled by TweetToTrade.
